The Red Cliffs National Conservation Area is a 44,724-acre National Conservation Area located in southwest Utah, north of St. George at the northeastern-most edge of the Mojave Desert. It is managed by the Bureau of Land Management as part of the National Landscape Conservation System, and was created as part of the Omnibus Public Land Management Act of 2009. The Red Cliffs National Conservation Area is part of the larger multi-jurisdictional Red Cliffs Desert Reserve, which was created in 1996 to protect the habitat and populations of the desert tortoise and other species.

The Big Hand Café was the center of town, the gathering spot, the place where news was shared.

It quickly became a St. George icon and a stopping place for tourists as they traveled through Southern Utah. The Greyhound bus would make its one stop in town at the Big Hand and each time it pulled in the waitresses would holler “bus in”, and they would get ready to serve the hungry travelers. Best remembered for its sign of a big hand outlined with blinking lights pointing to the front door and the lit up words “Especially Good Food”.

St. George Children's Museum is a nonprofit children's museum in St. George, Utah. The mission statement of the museum is to provide vibrant and engaging interactive activities that invite children and families to discover, imagine and create.

This 52-acre rustic community park is a rock climber's paradise. From Dixie Rock, also known as the Sugarloaf, spectacular views of downtown, White Dome, Zion National Park and Arizona can be seen. This park has a large trellis pavilion with two barbecues and fire ring, several smaller picnic areas with tables, two with metal trellis pavilions, and a separate fire pit with an amphitheater. Numerous hiking trails provide access to a Boy Scout Cave, historical pioneer cabin location, slot canyons and a connection into the Red Cliffs Desert Reserve.
